Dr. Meyer is a Senior Healthcare Coding Consultant, who is a triple certified medical coder.  He is licensed through the American Academy of Professional coders as a Professional Medical Coding Curriculum instructor (PMCC).  He is the Chair over the medical insurance, billing and coding program and Healthcare Administration program at Everest University, South Orlando. He also is a curriculum developer for online programs, as well as a HIM program instructor for DeVry University. He is a field auditor and has performed audit work for a variety of healthcare organizations, including hospital, physician practices and insurance companies. Prior to his consulting, coding and career as an educator, Dr. Meyer was board certified in family practice and actively treated patients for sixteen years.

Dr. Meyer is a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) through AHIMA, and a Certified Physician Coder (CPC) and a licensed Professional Medical Coding Curriculum (PMCC) instructor through the AAPC. Professional memberships include the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
