| Mrs. Meyer has over 25 years working as a Healthcare Administrator in high level management positions. She is currently working on completing her PhD in Public Health, Specializing in Epidemiology from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN. She is a medical coding auditor and analyst, and an online curriculum consultant and course developer for HCA and HIM programs. She is also an Adjunct Instructor for several online Universities. She holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University School of Business, Tampa, FL, Master’s of Science in Health Services Administration from Nova Southeastern University School of Business, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, B.A. in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University, Minneapolis, MN and she is a Medical Laboratory Technologists, ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) registered, Lakeland Medical Academy, Minneapolis, MN, and attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing, a three year Diploma program, St. Louis, MO.
Professional memberships include: Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMCE), American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the American Public Health Association (APHA). She is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE), and triple certified in medical coding, i.e., Certified Medical Coder-Physician (CCS-P) and Certified Medical Coder-Hospital (CCS) from AHIMA, as well as a Certified Professional Coder from the AAPC. She is working on course curriculum for ICD-10, and her dissertation is on the "Change Impact of Transitioning from ICD-9 CM to ICD-10 on Morbidity Statistics in Public Health". |
